Things I'm thinking about

Twenty or so areas where ordinary households are quietly getting fleeced and where one indie operator with modern tools could fight back. Some I'm building now. Some are waiting for enough people to say "I want this."

If one of these is happening to you right now, tell me. Either send me the actual bill / quote / paperwork through the audit page, or email with the topic. Even a one-line "I want this for myself" helps me decide what to build next.

Tier 1 — Cash recovery (pay me only when I save you money)

These are the ones where I can clearly measure savings — your insurance pays out, your bill gets reduced, your refund arrives. I take a slice of what I actually recover. You owe nothing if I recover nothing.

Medical bill audit Ready now

60-80% of hospital bills have errors. I find them and help you fight.

Property tax appeal Tell me you want this

Property tax assessments creep up. Comparable homes paying less is grounds for appeal.

Homeowner's insurance shop Tell me you want this

Renewal premiums creep up every year. Most homeowners don't shop. The loyalty tax is real.

Auto insurance shop Tell me you want this

Same loyalty tax as homeowner's, on a different policy.

Mortgage refinancing alerter Tell me you want this

Refinancing windows open and close. Most homeowners miss them.

Student loan optimization (PSLF / IDR) Tell me you want this

Federal forgiveness paths are bureaucratic minefields. People miss them.

Class-action settlement filing Tell me you want this

Every American is part of dozens of unclaimed settlements. Almost nobody files.

Unclaimed property recovery Tell me you want this

$70B sits in state escheatment funds. Some of it is probably yours.

Late-delivery refund automation Tell me you want this

Amazon and FedEx owe refunds when deliveries are late. Almost nobody asks.

Bank fee waiver requests Tell me you want this

Most banks waive overdraft/late fees the first time you ask. Most people don't ask.

Homestead / senior / veteran exemption Tell me you want this

Most homeowners qualify for property tax exemptions they never claim.

Tier 2 — Per-event review (flat fee for an analysis)

These are decisions where the value is in not overpaying — declining a $60 upsell at the dentist, pushing back on a $1,800 mechanic quote. I can't recover cash on prevented spending, so these work on a flat fee (or subscription) instead of percentage-of-savings.

Auto repair quote review Tell me you want this

Is $1,800 fair for a cat converter on a 2018 Civic? I'll tell you.

Auto body / collision quote review Tell me you want this

Same as auto repair, but for body work and insurance claim work.

Dental treatment plan advocate Ready now

I just got hit with a $4K dental bill. This is how this started.

Veterinary bill / quote review Ready now

Vet bills are exploding. Most pet owners have no way to evaluate them.

HVAC / plumber / electrician quote review Tell me you want this

Trade quotes vary 2-5x for the same job. Most homeowners get one quote and pay.

Roof / contractor quote review Tell me you want this

Roof and major remodel quotes can be $50K. Mistakes are expensive.

New car purchase advisor Tell me you want this

Dealer pricing is opaque on purpose. I'll tell you what's fair.

Real estate listing pricing review Tell me you want this

Is this house priced fair? Real-time comp analysis at the moment of offer.

Wedding vendor quote review Tell me you want this

Wedding vendors price specifically based on perceived budget. Most couples have no benchmark.

Don't see what you're getting fleeced on?

Email me at with subject "I'm getting fleeced on..." and describe it. If I hear it from enough people, it goes on this list.
